Five steps. One repeatable process: the framework our quants apply to every game and player matchup, turning live sports data into models you can trust.
- Pick your factors. Every game and player matchup runs through the factors you choose in AnyAlpha — offense, defense, tempo, possession, set pieces — instead of gut feel.
- Set your weights. Give each factor a weight, lock the ones you are sure about, and let the model do the arithmetic across every matchup.
- Backtest before you trust it. Run the model against seasons of resolved games and read the win rate by category before you rely on a single projection.
- Run it on live data. Point the model at today's matchups. Projections update as lineups, injuries, and results come in.
- Track every result. Log every projection and let the record — not recency bias or hot takes — tell you what is actually working.
